Director Of Applied Research at Designtex

Deidre Hoguet has a diverse work experience that spans over two decades in various organizations. Deidre started their career in 2000 as a Special Projects Coordinator for Design at Designtex and stayed in this role until 2004. From 2004 to 2006, Hoguet worked as a Sustainable Strategist at their own consulting company. In 2006, they joined the Metropolitan New York Library Research Council as a Program Manager. In 2007, they returned to Designtex and held multiple positions within the company, including Manager of Environmental Strategy and Director of Sustainability and Material Exploration. Their most recent role at Designtex was as the Director of Applied Research, which they held from 2017 onward. Additionally, Hoguet worked as a Guest Lecturer at the New York School of Interior Design from 2012 to 2017.

Deidre Hoguet has an educational background in both information studies and art. Deidre pursued a Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree from Queens College, with a focus on information studies. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design, specializing in painting and art history. In 2010, Deidre also earned a LEED Green Associate certification from the USGBC.
