Raphael Cohen has a diverse work experience in the tech industry. Raphael is currently the Co-Founder of Deskimo, a company that provides on-demand access to workspaces for hybrid workforces. Prior to this, Raphael worked as the Managing Director Asia at Rocket Internet SE, where they oversaw the development of internet-based business models. Raphael also founded and led Gobee.bike, one of the world's largest bike-sharing platforms, and HotelQuickly, a leading last-minute hotel booking mobile application in APAC. Additionally, Raphael served as a Mentor at The Founder Institute and Google's Empowering Young Entrepreneurs Program. Raphael has strong expertise in startup management, venture development, and market expansion.
Raphael Cohen's education history starts with attending the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management from 2007 to 2011. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with high distinction, focusing on Finance & Economics. In 2009, they participated in an international exchange program at The University of Hong Kong for three semesters. During their exchange program, Raphael studied various subjects including Finance, Economics, Marketing in Asia, and Chinese. In 2011, they also attended Shanghai Jiao Tong University for a long-term Chinese refresher course. Prior to university, Raphael attended Lycée Louis Pasteur from 2004 to 2007, where they obtained a French Scientific Baccalaureate with distinction, with Advanced Mathematics as the main field of study.
