Gloria Basem

Gloria Basem is an experienced human resources executive currently serving as the Fractional Chief People Officer at DESRI since 2024, leading the HR function through a corporate separation. Additionally, Gloria serves as an advisor at PeopleTech Partners, focusing on the growth of People Tech companies. Previously, as the Global Chief People Officer at Cover Genius, Gloria built an HR team that supported significant global headcount growth and contributed to IPO preparations. With a proven track record in various roles, including Chief People Officer at Stash and Interim Chief People Officer for several organizations, Gloria has successfully transformed HR functions, optimized talent strategies, and led change management initiatives across multiple industries, including fintech, pharmaceuticals, and consulting. Gloria holds a BA in HR & Organizational Studies from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Marketing from Temple University.
