David Wright

David Wright is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in analytics and marketing across various industries. Wright began his career as a Claims Information Coordinator and Freedom of Information Researcher for Rapid Transit Project 2000, followed by a managerial role at Empire Marketing, where successful marketing campaign strategies generated over $100MM in revenue. As Senior Manager of Marketing & Business Intelligence at Great Canadian Gaming Corporation, revenue grew from $20MM to $150MM through data-driven initiatives. In subsequent roles, including Senior Manager of Digital Insights at Tourism Richmond and Business Partner at First West Credit Union, Wright focused on enhancing consumer experiences and driving operational excellence. Currently, Wright serves as Manager of Research Insights at Destination British Columbia, leading performance measurement frameworks and research projects to align insights with evolving industry standards. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Northern British Columbia and a Master of Business Administration from Smith School of Business at Queen's University.
