Destination Tweed is a £25 million, 5-year river revitalisation project, led by Tweed Forum, that aims to conserve, protect and promote the natural environment and cultural heritage of the River Tweed and deliver significant economic, environmental, educational and social benefits to the south of Scotland and North Northumberland. It features the creation of a 113-mile source -to-sea trail as one of 13 cultural, river and landscape enhancement projects that will connect communities and attractions through innovative interpretation and create opportunities to celebrate, care for, enjoy and promote the river sustainably.
