Damien Hersant is a Principal Mining Engineer at Deswik since February 2024, following extensive experience at Anglo American, where Damien held the positions of Lead - Mining Studies and Underground Lead from September 2018 to November 2023 and February 2015 to August 2018, respectively. Prior to this, Damien spent over four years at Rio Tinto as Study Manager, Principal Advisor - Mine Design, and Manager - Mine Design, contributing to key projects including the Roughrider uranium project and the Keystone underground study at Bingham Canyon. Damien's career began at Pasminco, advancing from Senior Mining Engineer to roles with increasing responsibility at WMC and Argyle Diamonds. Damien holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mining from the University of South Australia, completed in 1992.
