Currently serving as Principal Mining Consultant and UG Team Lead at Deswik Mining since November 2011, Cassidy specializes in various underground mining methods including room and pillar, underhand cut and fill, large open stoping, narrow vein, and block caving. Past roles include Senior Mine Planning Engineer at BHP Billiton and several engineering positions at Barrick Gold Corporation and USG. Cassidy holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Montana Technological University, earned between 1997 and 2001, and completed secondary education at Libby Senior High School from 1990 to 1994.
