Paul Rees

Paul Rees is a Principal Mining Consultant at Deswik, a position held since 2019. Previously, Paul worked as a Consulting Engineer at Vero Mining from 2012 to 2013 and as a Business Development Manager at Vale from 2008 to 2012, where they focused on global strategy and investment norms for the coal business. Before that, Paul held several roles at BHP from 2006 to 2008, including Principal Mining Engineer and Study Manager, where they contributed to resource development and strategic planning initiatives. Paul earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering from The University of Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Financial Services Institute of Australasia.
