Jon Hewson has over 18 years of experience in sales and management. In 2003, they began their career as Group Managing Director for CN Group, where they managed and developed a portfolio of 11 radio stations across the UK and Ireland. Revenues increased by almost £2m during their tenure. In 2007, they were appointed Managing Director of GCap Media, and in 2008, they were appointed Managing Director of 2i Media Plc.
In 2010, Hewson was appointed Advertising Director for EMEA & LATM at TiVo, where they built the EMEA advertising business from the ground up, generating significant revenue growth, attracting an impressive advertiser brand count and winning a number of industry awards. In 2015, Hewson became UK Sales Director for Exponential, a company that delivers innovative advertising experiences that transform the way brands interact with audiences across multiple screens.
In 2017, Hewson was appointed Commercial Director UK for seedtag, a company that powers brand positioning through images. Jon set up the UK business from scratch, finding offices, hiring and training staff, P&L planning and execution, devising the sales proposition and tactics, and leading from the front. In 2018, Hewson became Sales Director for Cardlytics, a company that uses purchase intelligence data to make marketing more relevant and measurable.
In 2022, Hewson was appointed VP of Sales at Otomo.io, a proprietary content automation platform which enables the use of digital and AI technology to simplify the content creation, adaptation and versioning process. In 2023, they were appointed Director of Sales, EMEA for Desygner, a SaaS solution that makes design, branding, and marketing better through automation, AI, and adaptive technologies for enterprise-grade customers.
Jon Hewson attended Harrogate Grammar School from 1979 to 1985, where they achieved O'levels and A'Levels. Jon then attended Leeds Polytechnic from 1985 to 1988, where they earned a BA (Hons) in Marketing.
