Adel Alphonse, MCIArb, is currently the Contracts and Claims Director at Dar for Trading and Construction (DETAC), a role held since 2011 where they oversee business development, commercial management, and claims resolution. Previously, Adel served as Executive Director at SOCOTEC International in Dubai and SOCOTEC Gulf in Bahrain, leading technical audit teams and managing commercial operations. With extensive experience in structural design and project management, including roles as Senior Structural Design Engineer at the Saudi Engineering Bureau and Head of Structural Design Department at Arab Engineering Bureau, Adel has contributed significantly to numerous high-profile projects in the UAE. Adel earned a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University in 1980.
