Sinem Sınmaz

Sinem Sınmaz has been working in the engineering field since 2017. Sinem began their career as a Volunteer Design Engineer at Advanceabilities Inc. in 2017. In 2018, they became a Co-Founder and Lead Engineer at DropLet, an early stage start-up. Sinem also held roles as an International Peer Liaison at Yale University Office of International Students and Scholars, a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Butterfly Network, Inc., a Peer Tutor for EE200: Intro to Electrical Engineering, an Engineering Teaching Lab Assistant, and a Mechatronics Laboratory Undergraduate Learning Assistant at Yale University. In 2019, they became a Product Development Consultant and Hardware Engineer at OnTrack Rehabilitation, where their role included designing and building hardware and mechanical systems related to OnTrack’s ocular-vestibular rehabilitation device. In 2020, they joined Detect as Chief Of Staff to the CTO and System Engineer.

Sinem Sınmaz attended American Collegiate Institute from 2011 to 2016, where they obtained their High School Diploma. Sinem then attended Yale University from 2016 to 2020, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, they hold an IB Diploma from the International Baccalaureate.
