Peter Youell

Peter Youell has a diverse work experience that spans over several roles and companies. Peter is currently the Group CTO at SQLI since 2022. Prior to that, they co-founded Detected, a SaaS platform, where they served as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Product Officer. At Detected, they were responsible for product ideation, fundraising, building and leading the engineering team, and ensuring compliance across the company.

Before Detected, Peter worked at Astound Commerce, where they held various roles including Global EVP Technology, VP Technology, Technical & Operations Director, and Technical Director. In these roles, they played a crucial role in the growth and scaling of the company. Peter also had a brief stint at Oracle as a Senior Principal Architect.

Peter's earlier work experience includes being a Practice Lead and Principal Architect at Tryzens, where they were responsible for setting up and managing a new practice. Peter also worked as a UK Development Manager & Principal Architect at Invent Commerce, managing large eCommerce development projects and leading development and management teams.

Peter's career started in the Royal Navy, where they served as a Lead Developer NTETTD.

Throughout their career, Peter has demonstrated strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and expertise in eCommerce and SaaS platforms.

Peter Youell attended the University of Portsmouth from 2001 to 2005, where they pursued a Bsc (Hons) degree in Software Engineering.
