Naia Okami has a diverse and extensive work experience in various roles related to security and investigations. Naia started their career as a Network Engineering Consultant at Coastal Computer Consulting, LLC in 2015. Naia then co-founded Trust+, a SaaS startup focusing on threat intelligence, and managed the project, threat intelligence database, and client relationships from 2014 to 2017.

In 2018, Naia joined Walmart as an Asset Protection Associate, where they led a team of ten Asset Protection Customer Hosts, mentored and developed two Asset Protection Associates, and worked with associates to promote asset protection awareness, safety, and shrink reduction. Naia held this role until 2019.

After that, Naia worked as an Asset Protection Detective at Macy's from 2021 to 2022, and as an Asset Protection Agent at Nordstrom from 2022 to 2023. In these roles, they conducted investigations, collected evidence, and ensured the safety and compliance with loss prevention policies.

From 2021 to 2023, Naia also worked as a Crowdsource Security Researcher at Detectify, contributing to security research activities.

In 2023, they joined Vigilant Asset Protection, LLC as a Loss Prevention Organized Retail Crime Specialist. Naia'sresponsibilities included conducting organized retail crime investigations, collecting and organizing data and evidence, coordinating available assets for apprehension, and resolving cases. Additionally, they briefly served as a Loss Prevention Tactical Team Leader, leading a team providing coverage in the Seattle area and responding to critical incidents.

Currently, Naia holds the position of Lead Investigator at Chandler Edwards. In this role, they are responsible for conducting and directing investigations related to cases involving animal sexual abuse and exploitation, utilizing various tactics such as Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Human Source Management (HUMINT), Undercover Investigations, and Digital Forensics. Naia'swork has directly contributed to the conviction of individuals harming vulnerable members of society.

Naia Okami attended Glynn Academy from 2008 to 2012, where they successfully obtained their High School Diploma. The curriculum at Glynn Academy focused on a College/University Preparatory and Advanced High School/Secondary Diploma Program.
