Lars Mueller is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the railway sector. Since November 2018, Lars has served as the Chairman of the Management Board at Railway Approvals Germany GmbH, overseeing vehicle approval and certification processes in Germany and Europe. In addition, Lars has been with Deutsche Bahn since January 2010, holding multiple leadership roles including Head of Business Line Testing, where management includes over 350 engineers responsible for global testing of rail vehicles. Lars has a strong background in project management and resource allocation, having directed various railway engineering and homologation projects, as well as research initiatives during earlier roles at Deutsche Bahn and Leibniz Universität Hannover. Lars holds a Doctorate in Transportation Engineering from Technische Universität Hannover and a Doctorate in Railway Engineering from Leibniz Universität Hannover.
