Tommy Markstein

Tommy Markstein is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in machine learning, data analytics, and engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Deutsche Bahn since November 2022, Tommy previously held the position of Senior Specialist in Data Analytics at the Institutional Investment Group, focusing on fraud detection and machine learning. Before that, Tommy contributed significantly to advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives at Rolls-Royce Power Systems AG from 2016 to 2021, specializing in anomaly detection and predictive maintenance, while also working on embedded security. Earlier roles included Engineering and Measurement Technology positions at Rolls-Royce, where Tommy supported engine development and diagnostics. Tommy holds a degree in Physics from Technische Universität Chemnitz and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Planetary Sciences and Space Exploration at Freie Universität Berlin.
