Torsten Latz is an experienced professional in the railway and consulting sectors, currently serving as the Head of Procurement for Rolling Stock and Rolling Stock Spare Parts at Deutsche Bahn since April 2008. Latz has held several senior positions within Deutsche Bahn, including leadership roles in procurement for infrastructure and vehicle spare parts, as well as overseeing business development operations in high-speed passenger rail. Prior to this, Latz worked at McKinsey & Company as an Associate Principal in Johannesburg and Hamburg from June 1999 to March 2008. Latz holds a Doctorate in Physics focusing on Laser Spectroscopy and Quantum Optics, as well as a Diplom in Physics, both earned from the University of Hamburg.
