Shaila Sam

Shaila Sam is a Strategic Business Storyteller and Corporate Communication Professional with 19 years of experience, including leadership roles in their last three positions. Shaila's experience spans diverse sectors, including digital startups, conservation, and government, specializing in strategic communications, content management, crisis communications, and media relations. Currently, Shaila serves as the Head of Impact & Communications at Development Alternatives, a social enterprise focused on creating a resilient future. Previously, Shaila held significant roles at organizations such as WWF-India, Reach to Teach, and Médecins Sans Frontières, where they managed communications for large-scale campaigns and crises. Shaila holds a PG Diploma in Advertising and PR from the India Institute of Mass Communication and a BA (Hons) in Sociology from Jesus and Mary College.
