Josh Powell

Josh Powell is the current CEO at Development Gateway. Josh has held various positions at the company, including Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and Director of Innovation. Josh has also served as the AidData Co-Executive Director (Acting) and AidData Innovation Team Manager.

Josh has a long history of working in the development sector. Josh began their career as a software engineer before moving into the field of international development. Josh has worked with various development organizations, including Development Gateway, AidData, and the World Bank. Josh's experience in both the technical and development fields gives him a unique perspective on how to best use technology to achieve development goals.

Under Josh's leadership, Development Gateway has grown significantly. Josh has helped to expand the organization's program offerings and increase its impact on the development sector. Josh is committed to using technology to improve the lives of people around the world and to making Development Gateway a leading force in the global development community.

Josh Powell has a Masters in Public Policy from Brigham Young University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Baltimore.
