Lasitha Perera

Lasitha Perera is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of The Development Guarantee Group since May 2021, focusing on utilizing guarantee solutions to support the Sustainable Development Goals. Lasitha serves as a Commission Member for the SDSN Global Commission for Urban SDG Finance starting in May 2024. Previously, Lasitha held several roles at GuarantCo from July 2009 to November 2021, including Senior Advisor, Chief Executive Officer, and Chief Investment Officer. Prior experience includes serving as Investment Director at Íslandsbanki and various positions at Barclays Investment Bank from 1999 to 2006, culminating in the role of Associate Director in Leveraged Loans. Lasitha began a career at Barclays in 1998 as a Graduate Trainee. Lasitha holds an LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Bristol and a Post-graduate Diploma in Marketing from CIM | The Chartered Institute of Marketing.
