David Bitner

David Bitner is an experienced professional in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and data engineering, currently serving as the Owner of dbSpatial LLC since January 2004, specializing in open-source GIS consulting. In addition to this role, David Bitner has worked as a Data Engineer at Development Seed since January 2020 and has been a member of the Board of Directors for the Sahana Software Foundation since 2006. David Bitner also holds the position of VP, Geodata at OSGeo and is part of the Go Team within the Emergency Preparedness Committee of the Minnesota Geospatial Advisory Council. Previous roles include Senior Data Specialist at SolSpec, Senior Development Engineer at Boundless Spatial, Inc., Chair of the MetroGIS Coordinating Committee, GIS Coordinator at the Metropolitan Airports Commission, and GIS/RS Specialist at the National Operational Hydrologic Remote Sensing Center.
