"Without deviation from the norm, there is no progress"
~ Frank Zappa

Founded by Rick Sutton, Deviation33 was built on a simple idea: Businesses deserve access to the right expertise without the overhead, complexity, and costs often associated with traditional consulting firms. Rather than offering a fixed menu of services, Deviation33 connects clients with seasoned professionals whose talents align with their specific needs and objectives.

Every engagement begins with understanding the client's goals, opportunities, and obstacles. Rick works directly with each client to assess their needs and identify the most appropriate advisors for the project. Once a client decides to move forward, each collective member bills directly for services, ensuring complete transparency and flexibility. Rick’s client fees are 100% directed to charity.

Many Deviation33 Collective members have extensive experience in the bicycle industry, where innovation, entrepreneurship, customer focus, and operational agility are essential for success. However, the expertise within the network extends far beyond cycling and applies across a wide range of industries and business challenges.

There are no agency markups, management fees, or hidden costs. Clients work directly with the professionals delivering the expertise while benefiting from Deviation33’s collective knowledge and network. D33 hard costs are covered by Rick and pro bono contributions from Collective members.
