Daniel Farrell is a Senior Data Scientist at Optum since July 2025. Previously, Daniel served as a Data Platform Engineer at ADAPT Centre from October 2021 to July 2025, where responsibilities included developing a cloud-based data platform for a €10M research initiative in Motor Neurone Disease and designing an Android application for data collection used in 12 clinical centres across Europe. Daniel's experience also includes a role as a Machine Learning Research Assistant, focusing on training deep learning models for student performance prediction and developing reinforcement learning systems for educational content recommendations. Earlier experience includes a position as a Software Engineer at Gazeal. Daniel holds a Master of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from Trinity College Dublin and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Galway.
