Tony Valenty

Tony Valenty has over 17 years of professional experience in software engineering and development. In 2020, they began working as a Software Engineer for Devnext, where they design flexible software applications to specification using modern practices and a collaborative approach to development. Tony also participates in design meetings to ensure consistency and quality in the software releases, and improves produced software by peer-reviewing code looking for potential bugs, consistent code practices, and proper design patterns.

From 2015-2020, they worked as Manager, Enterprise Applications for Inspire Brands, where they steered a 20-member team on the design, development, deployment, and testing of an application saving the company over $200,000. Tony also drove the process of gathering clear requirements, developing code, and testing applications transforming business problems into software solutions.

From 2013-2015, they worked as Manager, Platform Integration/Production Support and Manager, Brand Applications for Arby's. As Manager, Platform Integration/Production Support, they launched ongoing efforts to redesign and rearchitect web applications to modernize front-end development technologies continuously. Tony also coached and mentored a team of 14 software and database developers in the development and support of custom applications designed to meet IT compliance objectives. As Manager, Brand Applications, they directed a team of 6 internal and external software developers in the design, coding, and implementation of a software solution to enable better communication between corporate restaurants and team members. Tony also spearheaded the development efforts for a newly created Enterprise Data Warehouse and how it interfaced with custom software products.

From 2008-2013, they worked as Senior Programmer/Analyst for Wendy's/Arby's Group, Inc. Tony championed the development and implementation of a web services platform including e-mail and data delivery services, as well as architected and built smaller utilities to support larger projects. Tony also assisted in creating and developing custom Oracle solutions in support of cross departmental needs.

From 2003-2008, they worked as Programmer/Analyst for RTM Restaurant Group/Arby's. Tony orchestrated reports used by the restaurant operations team to monitor their margins allowing them to manage their operating margins. Tony also championed solutions to manage changes to the production IT environments to drive the process through a more efficient, repeatable, and automated process. Additionally, they launched a scorecard application to grade the entire operations organization in various categories.
