Jan Behrens

Jan Behrens has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles.

Their most recent position was as the Chief Technology Officer at Devoli, where they started in May 2021.

Before joining Devoli, Jan worked at Xero as the EGM Delivery & Operations - Technology, starting in October 2020 and ending in April 2021.

Prior to Xero, Jan served as the CTO at Gentrack Ltd (Global) from August 2016 to October 2020.

Jan also gained significant experience at Orion Health, where they held two roles. Jan was the EVP Shared Technology Group from May 2014 to July 2016 and the Product Development Director - Smarter Hospitals from May 2013 to May 2014. In these positions, they oversaw software development, grew teams, provided leadership, engaged with customers, and drove Agile concepts.

Before Orion Health, Jan worked at PayGlobal as the CTO from September 2012 to May 2013, the Head of Development from November 2011 to September 2012, and the Development Manager from March 2010 to November 2011.

Jan's earlier experiences include serving as the Project Manager / Java Development Team Manager at House of Travel from October 2007 to January 2010, and as a Research Assistant & Project Manager at OFFIS e.V. from August 2004 to July 2007.

Furthermore, Jan had internships at Cargosoft GmbH in 2003 and CargoSoft GmbH in 2002, and they served as the Head of IT, Germany at Thiel ASL GmbH from June 2001 to October 2001.

Jan Behrens completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg between 2001 and 2004. From 1987 to 1995, Jan Behrens attended Kippenberg Gymnasium in Bremen, Germany, and from 1992 to 1993, they also studied at Te Kuiti High School in Te Kuiti, New Zealand. Additionally, Jan Behrens obtained several certifications, including Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) in November 2011, Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) in August 2011, and Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) in June 2009, all from Scrum Alliance.
