Alex Stevens has held various roles in policy development and rural affairs, beginning as a Rural Regeneration Officer at Taunton Deane Borough Council from 2005 to 2009. They later served as a Project Development Officer for the Rural Development Programme for England at Somerset County Council from 2009 to 2011. Since then, Alex has worked with the National Farmers' Union from 2014 to 2024, occupying several positions including Regional Policy Manager and Chief Sustainable Supply Chains Adviser. Currently, Alex serves as the Head of Policy and Partnerships at Devon County Council, where they continue to influence policy within their field. They earned a BA (Hons) in Politics from the University of the West of England between 2002 and 2005.
