Brian Murphy

Brian Murphy is a Senior Staff Geologist at Devon Energy, with over 10 years of experience in oil and gas exploration and development. They previously held positions at Continental Resources, where they worked as an Exploration Geologist in the Permian Basin and supported the Bakken-Three Forks development program. Brian began their career as a Geology Summer Intern at Murex Petroleum Corporation, evaluating production results in the Bakken-Three Forks play. They earned a Master’s Degree in Geology from The University of North Dakota and a Bachelor of Arts from Thomas Aquinas College.
