Joe Harris is a seasoned landman with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry, having retired in 2019 after a prominent career. Starting in 1980 at Hanna Oil Properties, Inc., Joe specialized in mineral and leasehold ownership reports and title opinions across several states, including Oklahoma and Texas. Joe later owned and managed G. H. Land Company, LLC, overseeing contract landmen and handling lease acquisitions. As a self-employed landman, Joe provided consulting services to Devon Energy, focusing on coal bed methane drilling program preparation. Subsequently, Joe served as a land advisor for Devon Energy, involved in well location preparation and title review in the Barnett Shale and currently the Permian Basin. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Southern Illinois.
