Todd Coles

Todd Coles has over 16 years of experience in data engineering and GIS management, currently serving as Senior Manager of Data Engineering & Platforms at Devon Energy since November 2007. Coles has held various roles at Devon, including Manager of GIS & Real Time Data Management, where responsibilities included managing real-time data specialists and improving data quality. As GIS Manager, Coles established a team dedicated to GIS and spatial data management, overseeing projects to enhance enterprise technology and geospatial infrastructure. Previous positions include GIS Supervisor, where the reorganization of the team significantly improved mapping efficiency, and GIS Analyst, providing support to the Land department. Coles also contributed as an Instructor for the OERB Petrotech Program, teaching ArcGIS applications in the oil and gas sector. Earlier career experience includes GIS Analyst roles at Baker Petrolite and GIS Specialist at the City of Mesquite. Coles holds a BA in Geography and History from Oklahoma State University.
