Rad Kanapathipillai is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in DevOps, cloud security, and engineering management. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at DevOps1 since November 2022, Rad's expertise lies in platform engineering, application modernization, and integrating quality and security into the delivery lifecycle. As a GitLab Partner Champion since March 2024, Rad is dedicated to empowering the DevOps community through knowledge sharing and collaboration. Previous roles include Cloud Consulting Partner at Wipro, Senior Solutions Consultant at Ampion, and key positions in DevSecOps at Odecee and Foodstuffs North Island Limited. Earlier experience includes roles at Spark New Zealand in Identity Access Management and Security Engineering, as well as positions at IBM and Unilever. Rad holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Services from the University of Westminster.
