Ahmed Bashir has a long and successful career in engineering. Ahmed began their career in 2005 at IBM Research as a Storage & Systems Researcher and DB2 Query Optimizer. In 2009, they moved to Apple where they served as the Director of Engineering, building the Apple Cloud with a focus on distributed storage, low latency edge, data analytics, and high-scale platform engineering. In 2021, they joined DevRev as the Head of Engineering, helping developers to delight customers as the company enters the product-led growth era.
Ahmed Bashir's education history includes graduating from Stratford High School as Class Valedictorian (Class Rank: 1 / 464), obtaining a M.S and B.S in Computer Science and Mathematics (Minor) from The University of Texas at Dallas, and pursuing a Ph.D in Computer Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
