Georg Petschnigg

Georg Petschnigg is a global product and design executive known for their expertise at the intersection of design, technology, and business. They currently serve as the Chief Design Officer at Nextdoor and are a board member at DevRev. Previously, Georg held the position of Head of Product Design at The New York Times and served as Chief Innovation Officer and General Manager at WeTransfer, where they transformed the company into a multi-product organization. Georg co-founded FiftyThree, the creators of award-winning tools like Paper® and Pencil, and played a pivotal role in multiple innovations at Microsoft, including developments in computational photography and digital television. They earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering and Economics from Columbia University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Product Design from Stanford University.
