Chris Berg is a Structural Engineering professional with over 30 years of experience in designing and managing building structural engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams. Appointed by the North Carolina governor, Chris served as a Structural Engineering Member of the NC Building Code Council from 2020 to 2024, where they chaired committees to edit and maintain the State Building Code. Currently, Chris is the Structural Discipline Lead at Dewberry, acting as a technical resource and project manager for complex engineering projects. Previously, Chris held leadership positions at NV5 and Summit Design and Engineering Services, where they managed structural engineering groups and developed multidisciplinary project teams. Chris began their career at GKC Associates, PA, progressing from engineer intern to principal and president of the firm.
