Donald E. Stone

Joining Dewberry in 2008, Donald E. Stone, Jr., PE, brings over 25 years' engineering/architecture industry experience with ten years of corporate operational leadership to his position as chief executive officer.

While with his previous firm, Mr. Stone's corporate leadership positions included director of corporate business development, chief operating officer, president of the firm's water solutions division, and director on the firm's board of directors. As COO, his responsibilities involved overall operational management and development, and implementation of a five-year strategic plan. As president of the water solutions division, he spearheaded the creation of a special purpose entity to allow for the project financing of design/build/own/operate water and wastewater facilities.

Mr. Stone graduated in 1980 from The Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina, with a Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering. He is a water/wastewater engineer with technical expertise in design-build programs and industrial, municipal, and federal project development and execution. He is a registered professional engineer in multiple states and is certified by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying. He currently is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.
