Michelle Schear

Michelle Schear is a seasoned Geospatial Analyst at Dewberry since May 2019. Prior experience includes serving as Manager at 5801 Productions LLC, where Michelle directed a team of five, successfully completing 200 projects annually while securing over fifty 5-star reviews. As a Staff Scientist at Coastal Risk Consulting, Michelle contributed to the development of a flood risk model, analyzing high-resolution LiDAR data within ArcGIS. At the University of Miami, Michelle worked as a Research Assistant, evaluating storm surge differences due to sea level rise using the SLOSH model. An internship with the National Weather Service involved developing a meteorological observation guide and verifying a lightning prediction model. Earlier, Michelle gained experience as a Satellite Analyst, researching hurricanes through satellite imagery. Michelle holds a Master’s in Professional Science (Weather Forecasting) and a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology from the University of Miami.
