Shane Putnam, PhD, currently serves as a Full-Stack Software Engineering Team Lead, Senior Scientist, Project Hydrologist, and Staff Engineer at Dewberry since January 2019. Previously, Shane gained valuable experience as a Research Assistant - Hydrologist at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering from September 2012 to December 2018, focusing on the influence of landscape structure and hydrologic processes on transport at the catchment scale. Earlier roles include Research Assistant - Analytical Chemist at SUNY Oneonta, where controlled laboratory experiments and longitudinal water sampling were utilized to study the fate of triclosan in the upper Susquehanna River, and Research Intern positions as a Hydrogeologist and Water Quality Scientist. Shane holds a PhD in Environmental Engineering and a Master’s degree in Environmental Science from the Johns Hopkins University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Water Resources Science, Mathematics, and Chemistry from SUNY Oneonta.
