Ben Codner

Ben Codner has a strong background in DevOps and site reliability engineering. Ben is currently working at DexCare as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Roofstock as a Lead DevOps Engineer, where they implemented Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and designed a Hub and Spoke network. Ben also worked at Omadi, Inc. as a Lead DevOps Engineer, where they transitioned the company to Docker and self-hosted Kubernetes and improved site availability. Before that, they worked at Cvent and Lanyon Solutions as a Lead DevOps Engineer and Sr. DevOps Engineer, respectively, where they gained experience in developing automation and creating internal web applications. Ben started their career at The Active Network as a Systems Engineer and worked on managing Oracle SQL Server and various web software. Ben also has experience in customer support as a Customer Service Representative at WingateWeb and Nortel Network Support at Convergys.

Ben Codner earned a Bachelor's Degree in Bachelor of Science (B.S.) with a software emphasis in IT from Western Governors University, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they attended Salt Lake Community College from 2003 to 2006, but did not obtain a degree there. Along with their education, Ben obtained several additional certifications. In September 2011, they received an A+ certification from CompTIA. Ben then continued to earn certifications such as Database Design Specialist from CIW in November 2011, Java 6 Programmer Certified Professional from Oracle in April 2012, JavaScript Specialist from CIW in August 2012, Project+ from CompTIA in April 2013, and Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist from Microsoft in November 2013. Lastly, Ben obtained the Perl Specialist certification from CIW in February 2015 and the Security+ certification from CompTIA in January 2014.
