Chang Yao

Chang Yao is a highly experienced regulatory affairs specialist with a strong background in biomedical engineering and materials science. Currently serving as a Staff Regulatory Affairs Specialist at Dexcom since February 2019, Chang Yao has played a pivotal role in the regulatory submission and maintenance of the G7 CGM System, including obtaining FDA 510(k) clearance and expanding international market reach. Previous experience includes regulatory science work at Cook Research Incorporated, focusing on combination products for peripheral artery disease, and serving as a Biomedical Consultant and Principal Scientist at Nanovis LLC, where Chang Yao led R&D for novel spinal implants and secured significant NIH funding. Education includes a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University, an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Purdue University.
