Julian Ramirez

Julian Ramirez is currently a Staff Medical Device Engineer at Dexcom, bringing four years of industry experience and seven years of academic experience to the role. Julian earned a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and has co-authored 19 publications in peer-reviewed journals. Previously, Julian worked as a Surface Scientist at both Omniome Inc. and PacBio, and as a Principal Scientist at BioNexus Consulting, contributing significantly to product life cycles and multidisciplinary collaborations. Their expertise includes materials characterization, device design and fabrication, and application testing, particularly in the fields of medical devices and consumer electronics.
