Marco Shields

Marco Shields is the Head and Architect of Packaging R&D at Dexcom, where they focus on innovating global packaging solutions aligned with business and stakeholder objectives. They co-founded Baja Testing Lab, which holds the only commercial packaging test laboratory accreditation for ISTA series 1, 2, and 3 in North West Mexico. Marco has extensive experience in packaging engineering roles at various companies, including BD and Flextronics, where they led initiatives in packaging development, compliance, and cost reduction. They hold a Master of Science in Design and Manufacturing Processes from CETYS Universidad and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universidad Autónoma de Baja California.
