Sean Cooney

Sean Cooney is currently the Engineering Director at Dexcom, where they pioneer and lead innovations in real-time continuous glucose monitoring for diabetes management. Previously, Sean served as a Senior R&D Manager and R&D Process Development Manager at Boston Scientific, overseeing new product introductions and managing a skilled engineering team across various medical device technologies. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Engineer in R&D and as a Quality Engineer at Boston Scientific, demonstrating a strong foundation in engineering processes and quality assurance. Sean holds a Master's in Project Management and a Bachelor's in Biomedical Engineering, both with first-class honors from the University of Limerick.
