Sean Fahey is a dedicated professional with a strong background in bioinformatics and biochemistry. Currently serving as a Graduate Student Researcher at the SDSU Research Foundation, Sean has developed a PyTorch Neural Network Classifier for annotating phage structural genes and containerized bioinformatics applications for standardized lab usage. With experience as a Senior Biosensor Research Associate at Biolinq and previously as a Software Engineer in Test at Dexcom, Sean has a proven track record in biosensor technology and software testing. Prior roles include Biochemist I and II at BD, where Sean focused on fluorochrome-protein conjugates and internal document management, and as a Research Assistant at the University of San Diego, conducting cell biology experiments. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of San Diego.
