Shirin Tefagh

Shirin Tefagh is a seasoned legal professional specializing in intellectual property. Currently serving as Sr Director & Associate General Counsel, IP at Dexcom since July 2019, Shirin leads a team of IP attorneys with a concentration on procurement, enforcement, and compliance in the medical device sector, particularly in electronics, data analytics, and communication arts. Prior experience includes leadership roles at Qualcomm as Director of IP Legal Counsel and at McDermott Will & Emery as Sr Director of Patent Counsel. Shirin began career as an Associate at Fitch Even Tabin & Flannery and also worked as a Technology Specialist. Educational credentials include a J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and a B.S. in Information and Computer Science with a minor in Business Management from UC Irvine.
