Wentao Xu

Wentao Xu is a highly experienced engineering professional specializing in process development and biosensor technology. Currently serving as a Staff Engineer in Process Development at Dexcom since October 2018, Wentao is engaged in biosensor process development and scaling up production. Previous roles include Senior R&D Product Development Engineer at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, where Wentao led interdisciplinary teams on biosensor projects, focused on quality improvement, and served as a technical expert for new business development. Additional experience includes R&D engineering at Lexmark International, where Wentao worked on chip design and microfluidic devices, and research roles at the University of Kentucky and Northwestern University focused on micro-/nano-structured materials. Wentao holds a Ph.D. in Condensed Matter Material Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
