Ying Xu

Ying Xu is a highly skilled data scientist with extensive experience in data engineering and bioinformatics. Currently serving as a Staff Data Scientist at Dexcom since May 2022, Ying has previously held roles including Senior Data Scientist and Senior Data Engineer at the same company. Prior experience includes positions as a Data Engineer and Bioinformatics Analyst at Ferring Pharmaceuticals from May 2020 to May 2022, and as a Graduate Student Researcher at San Diego State University, where Ying focused on the quantitative analysis of microbial communities. Additionally, Ying completed a deep learning internship at The Hive, LLC, developing a model for skin disease classification. Ying holds a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from San Diego State University and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
