Sergey Shekhter

Sergey Shekhter has had an extensive and diverse work experience. Sergey started their career at EY in 2007, where they worked as an auditor and later as an M&A senior consultant. In 2011, Shekhter joined Renault as the Head of Financial Reporting and Consolidation, where they managed the preparation and submission of consolidated financial statements for the Renault Russia market.

In 2015, Shekhter joined Danaher Corporation as the Finance Manager for EMEA & Asia at Kerr Dental. During their time there, they led sales tracking calls for the APAC region, uncovered a $2.0M fraud initiated by the local management team, and performed US GAAP monthly closing activities. Sergey also organized workshops to pursue cost savings and hired and trained a financial controller for a major APAC market.

Shekhter then moved up to Senior Finance Manager for Europe at KaVoKerr, a division of Danaher Corporation. In this role, they were responsible for running the EMEA monthly/quarterly sales estimate process and leading a team of regional controllers in the preparation of monthly forecasts.

After completing an MBA program at IMD business school in 2014, Shekhter joined DEXIS in 2020 as the Commercial Controller EMEA for the Imaging and IOS Business Units. Sergey supported various executive projects, built commercial tools, and was responsible for FP&A and reporting to HQ. In 2023, they took on the role of Head of Finance Europe for the Intraoral Scanner Business Unit, overseeing full P&L ownership and regionwide financial management.

Overall, Sergey Shekhter has demonstrated a strong background in finance and leadership roles with multinational companies in various industries.

Sergey Shekhter has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from IMD in 2014. Sergey obtained a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, which they completed in 2011. Before that, they studied at Ural State Technical University from 2001 to 2006, where they earned a BSc in Electrical Engineering. Sergey also pursued a correspondence program in Physics and Mathematics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (State University) (MIPT) from 1997 to 2001. Sergey has additional certifications, including Italian language proficiency and being a fellow member of the ACCA (FCCA).
