Lorcan Ryan has extensive experience in international relations and diplomatic service, currently serving as Private Secretary to the Secretary General at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in Ireland since August 2019. Previous roles include Second Secretary at the Embassy of Ireland in the USA and Third Secretary in the EU Division. Prior to this, Lorcan worked as a Management Consultant and Management Consulting Analyst at Accenture from February 2016 to July 2018. Lorcan holds a Master’s degree in International Relations with a focus on Global Conflict from Leiden University, a Bachelor's degree in European Studies from Trinity College Dublin, and studied European History at Universidad de Sevilla.
