Michelle Ryan

Michelle Ryan currently serves as Assistant Legal Adviser at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ireland, since August 2020, and previously held roles including Sanctions Coordinator and Deputy Director in the Political Division. Prior to this, Michelle worked as Second Secretary and Consul at the Embassy of Ireland in Greece, managing consular affairs, culture, social media, and office administration from October 2017 to August 2020. Additional experience includes serving as a Third Secretary at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, where responsibilities covered multiple GCC countries. Earlier legal roles include trainee solicitor at Arthur Cox and positions as law clerk and stagiaire at Latham & Watkins and Clifford Chance LLP, respectively. Michelle's education comprises a Master's degree in European Law from the College of Europe and a BCL with French Law from University College Dublin.
