Patrick Jacques currently serves as the Acting Consul General of Ireland in Frankfurt and has held various significant roles within the Department of Foreign Affairs, Ireland, including Deputy Director of the Economic Unit and First Secretary heading the Finance & Economic Policy Unit since May 2018. Prior experience includes serving in the Cabinet of Commissioner Pierre Moscovici at the European Commission from October 2017 to April 2018, and as a Policy Analyst focusing on EU/International Tax Policy at the Department of Finance Ireland from February 2016 to September 2017. Patrick's early career includes a research and communication internship at European Movement Ireland in 2014. Academically, Patrick holds a Master’s Degree in European Political and Administrative Studies from the College of Europe and a degree in European Studies from Trinity College Dublin.
