Dr. med. Daniel Lay

Dr. med. Daniel Lay is currently a Arzt at Bayer 04 Leverkusen Fußball and a member of the Praxis für Orthopädie und Sportmedizin Lay l Balzien. They serve as a Mannschaftsarzt for the DFB and have been appointed as a FIFA Medical Coordinator for the U-20 World Cup in Argentina. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as a Notarzt with the Berufsfeuerwehr and provided care at Kliniken der Stadt Köln from 2017 to 2022, specializing in Orthopädie and Sporttraumatologie. Dr. Lay is pursuing advanced studies in Football Medicine at the University of Bath and is furthering their education at Deutsche Sporthochschule Köln.
