Jonathan C. Blaine

Jonathan C. Blaine, Esq. is a highly experienced tax director and legal educator with over 20 years in the Asia-Pacific region, specializing in cross-border corporate and personal investment and tax planning, particularly involving US, Thailand, and Japanese investments. Currently serving as Tax Director and Co-Head of Regional Compliance & Special Investigations at DFDL since January 2017, Jonathan is recognized as an expert in Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and has advised numerous international businesses and high net worth individuals on tax amnesty and compliance. Additionally, Jonathan contributes to academia as a special lecturer at Chulalongkorn University and Webster University in Thailand and has held various guest and adjunct professor roles at notable institutions. Jonathan's professional background includes key positions at notable financial firms and extensive education, holding multiple advanced degrees, including an LLM in International Law and a JD in Corporate Law.
